Escorihuela Gascón 1884 Cabernet Sauvignon
Sustainable wine-growing practices deliver an all-round full body wine rich in flavour, excellent with cuts of lamb and grilled red meats.
750 ml bottle. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyard at Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, at 950 meters above sea level on a homogeneous soil with sandy-loam. In contact with French oak for 8 months. Alcohol 13.10%.
Harvest 2017: Considered one of the best vintages in recent years with mainly warm and dry conditions. Cooler temperatures in the final two months lead to slightly lower alcohols and preserved acidity. Deep ruby red with purplish highlights. Aromas of cassis marmalade, ripe wild berries, black pepper, aromatic herbs, vanilla and cloves. Juicy and enveloping, balanced and full-flavoured mid palate. Gentle tannins that ensure a lingering finish with good ageing potential.
