A tribute to those internal battles that make us who we are.

750 ml bottle. 100% Chardonnay from Gualtallary (Valle de Uco, Mendoza). The vineyards, planted in calcareous rocky soil, are located at 1470 meters of altitude above sea level. This wine is aged for 9 months in French oak, under veil, a winemaking technique that enhances its texture and complexity, reminiscent of great Jura and Jerez wines. The combination of old vines, natural fermentation, and barrel aging results in a Chardonnay with great depth and aging potential. Alcohol 13.50 % vol. Contains sulphites. (75 cl Fr. 24.00, 1 L Fr. 32.00)

Harvest 2022: 96 points (James Suckling), 94 points (Descorchados), 93 points (Tim Atkin). An exceptional expression of high-altitude Mendoza terroir, sourced from Gualtallary. The result is a mineral-driven Chardonnay with structure, elegance, and a distinctive saline character.

Bodega Aleanna is the result of a collaboration between Alejandro Vigil, Catena Zapata’s chief winemaker, and Adrianna Catena, historian and daughter of Nicolás Catena. Their goal is to craft wines that blend the tradition of European winemaking with the unique character of Argentina’s terroir. The winery is known for creating wines that are both expressive and elegant. El Gran Enemigo SV Gualtallary 2013 got 100 points by Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate.
